Today's CPAs are required to perform more advanced tasks, adopt new technologies, and contribute to increasingly complex projects earlier in their accounting careers.
The CPA Evolution is a response to these changes in the profession, ensuring that the exam remains relevant as a measure of the knowledge and skills newly-licensed CPAs (nlCPA) need to protect the public interest in today's marketplace.

Core-Plus Discipline Model
What does the new CPA Exam model look like?
Exam will remain in a 4-hour section, in a total 16-hour format.
This Model requires CPA candidates to be skilled in
1) Accounting (Financial Accounting & Reporting (FAR)),
2) Auditing (Auditing & Attestation (AUD)),
3) Taxation (Taxation & Regulation (REG)).
Also, candidates will need to have a deeper knowledge in one of the three primary disciplines.
